My learning experience - The exam day

Hello my friends, here I am and now not to write about the learning process but to write about some valuable tips to follow on the test day.


I took the ANPAD test last week and did pretty well! So what was my secret during the day of the test? Here are some tips.

1 – On the last day before the test don’t study at all! You’ve prepared for the test for too long, so on the last day you should rest, stay calm, and do things that can help you relax. In my case I always listen to my favorite bands (Mumford and Sons; Queen; Bon Jovi), stay with my family, play Magic: The Gathering, to name a few.


2 – Sleep well. Try to sleep early the day before your test; this will make your body ready for the challenge.


3 – Leave home early. On the day of the exam try to leave home early in order to avoid problems. For example, if your test starts at 8:00 am, leave home at 6h45 am in order to arrive there one hour before the test application. This attitude gives you a gap of time if something wrong happens on the way, like: a flat tire, forgetting something at home, etc.


4 – Get concentrated. Try your best to keep the concentration during the whole time you are answering the questions. Sometimes our minds get tired, but you have to repeat to yourself: this is the final effort; I have to do my best now.


5 – If the exam is divided into different subjects, choose the order based on the subjects you have more facility with. In my case I started with English (of course hehehehehe), then Portuguese, Logic, and Math (I am terrible at Math). This strategy prevents you from wasting time on questions you don’t have a clue about how to solve them.


6 – Control your time. If a question is too difficult, skip it, and if there’s time left at the end of the test you can get back to it and try to solve.
