"The road to Berlin". This is the 2014-2015 UEFA Champions League (UCL) slogan, but as you can see in the title of this article, i changed it so it could express one comparison i will try to make here.
The UCL is the most famous and difficult competition around the world. The best teams in Europe face each other for the most prestigious trophy. Even if only the national champions participate in this competition, there are many differences between the teams in UCL. Mainly the difference is economic, because some teams have way more money than the others.
That is the case of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, PSG, and others. Not Juventus. Juve (nickname of Juventus) is the most important team in Italy, but even if very strong nationally, the club didn't have many successes in the International field. People say that Juve isn't economically strong as the other clubs that are favorite to win the UCL.
But this season Juve is showing that it takes more than money to advance in the competition, the attitude is more important than that! This week Juve advanced to the final of the UCL that is going to take place in Berlin, Germany. At the beginning of the competition no one would imagine that, but Juventus players kept the hope "heating" during the hole competition.
In a very difficult semi final Juve defeated the rich Real Madrid mainly because of the attitude of its players. As an appreciator of soccer, and a Juventus fan I felt pleased to see a team playing with such determination and "heart". It made me compare their effort to the one done by regular people that have dreams that only themselves can believe.
And the history shows that people that are determined can achieve their goals, facing all kinds of problems like the lack of money, the incredulity of others, and other adverse circumstances. My friends, if you have a dream, think of yourself as the club Juventus. Maybe no one believes that you can complete this dream, but that's not important, because if you believe in yourself and is determined to achieve this dream, YOU WILL.
The road to your dreams isn't going to be easy, but remember: it's your road, you can follow the road with determination, and hopefully you will get to "your UCL final". Believe in yourself, and have a blessed week.
